Notre Dame Football

This past Saturday as the whole state of Ohio was in a frenzy for the Ohio State/Michigan game I was given the chance to go see Notre Dame vs. Army in South Bend. The whole trip was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in a while. Two members of the group that I was in were alumni of Notre Dame and they were willing to take me every where on campus to show me the pre-game traditions. First off the campus is just beautiful, the people were the nicest I have met at a football game. When the alumni told others that it was my first time at Notre Dame they welcomed me with open arms and were willing to supply me with anything I needed. I recommend that everyone take a trip to Notre Dame stadium for a game, the experiences you encounter will be remembered for a life time.

Random Thoughts

A list of random stuff I stay up all night thinking of.

Is it possible for a bank to go bankrupt?
If God is so merciful then why did he give us KFed?
According to Scientologists, silence and passiveness are qualities that women show during child birth, then why do my ears and my hand hurt?
Why are people against the reason for why we went into Iraq, but for Saddam being thrown out of power? Am I missing something here
If we are suppose to look down upon drugs and alcohol abuse, then why is Keith Richards a millionaire who is still alive for that matter?
Why do assholes get the women and leave me with nothing?
Is there really such a thing as the reasonable prudent person?
If Thomas Edison was so smart, why is he dead?
How could Marty McFly go back in time to the 1950s, change the career and lifestyle of his parents, and still exist in 1985? The slightest change in history could have rendered him several years younger or older, a different gender, or might not have been created at all
With all the sequels and remakes in theatres, has Hollywood officially ran out of ideas?
Why do people apologize to each other when a loved one passes away? Did that person have a hand in the loved one's death? If so, something more than a simple apology is warranted.
How can affirmative action end discrimination and racism when it promotes it?
Why do people still listen to Andy Rooney?
If Hollywood stars support politicians who push for higher taxes, then why do they keep off shore bank accounts?
With 100 billion stars in the Milky Way and 100 billion more galaxies, don't you think that maybe there is a planet somewhere that might have life more intelligent than our own?
Why does a person promise to give $2,000 plus interest to a lender, and in return accepts $25?
If Ben Affleck campaigns for higher quality of life for Americans, then why did he star in Gigli?
Just how dumb is Lois Lane if she can't see that Clark Kent is Superman?
Why do people complain about how many liberal Political Science professors exist in universities today? Of course they are liberal, the bigger the government is, the more there is to study, therefore their job becomes more relevant.
Why is Paris Hilton famous? What exactly did she do besides turn on the night vision?

Election 2006 results

Well the votes were counted with some votes thrown out and burned The results show heavy gains by the Democrats in Congress due to voters' discontent with the war in Iraq and ethics in Congress. What will be the end result of this?
1. Obviously a change in policy for Iraq. Case in point, Rumsfeld resigning today
2. More vetoes coming from the White House.
3. President Bush will now have a punching bag in the area of Nancy Pelosi
4. With Allen gone and the debacle in the Senate. Governor Romney just became the top dog to take on McCain in 08 for the GOP nomination. No one will vote for Frist or Allen now
5. Gridlock government means less money being spent therefore smaller budget deficits
6. Taxes wont increase or decrease
7. GOP comeback in 08 as they were able to get rid of some bad candidates, and will return with much stronger candidates in 08.
8. Voters realizing some problems cannot be fixed by the government therefore their support for Democrats will decrease.
9. The return of Newt Gingrich to national headlines
10. A very interesting confirmation hearing if Bush is to appoint another person to the Supreme Court.

Well anyways, those are my predictions of what the next 2 years in DC will be. Ohio will be the same as a Democrat is governor but the legislator remains republican.
GRIDLOCK BABY!!!

College Football Season

Why do all the teams I root for either suck this year or are struggling against opposing teams? BGSU, what happened to your once proud program? Losing to Temple??? What!!!! Some heads need to roll for that one.
Notre Dame. Where in the hell is your defense? My wheelchair bound Grandmother could play better defense than you guys!!

In other news last week was the Student Bar Association's Costume Ball. As a 1L Rep for my class I attended to show support for the SBA and take advantage of the open bar. It was a good time, met some more great people. Saw some interesting costumes. I will admit I am dumbfounded on how law students can act. A car was broken into and a radio stolen, someone punched a hole in the Men's room, and a couple of fights almost happened. Crap, I know we will litigate these types of cases in the future, but lets not be the cause of them.
