Holy Sh*t

It is hard to believe that its been almost one year since I updated this blog. Much has changed since then. Currently I am entering my last year of law school, and it is hard to determine how to update or continue this blog

I am at a crossroads in my life. What should I do next year? Practice law in Ohio? North Carolina? DC? Las Vegas? Chicago? Should I go into the FBI and become a special agent? Honestly I don't know. What I do know is that this upcoming year will be my busiest yet. Going to school full time, work, SBA, Federalist Society, and now Law Review my time will be precious. However I think the work put into this upcoming year will pay off in the end. In today's horrific economy I will have to seperate myself from the rest of the field so everything helps.

So here is a list of things I have done this summer.

1. Worked for the Public Defender's Office. Every day of every week this summer I spent time in court. Most of my job was trying to get a good deal from the prosecutor and then convincing the defendant to take the recommendation. However, I did on occasion fight out cases in court in hopes of winning.

2. I went to several state parks. This year I wanted to go to state parks to hike and enjoy nature. I was able to go through several beautiful parks located in Ohio (who knew).

3. Traveled to DC. In July I traveled to our nation's capital for a conference. There I met several new friends and was able to be a tourist in DC (first time in over 10 years). One night I was fortunate of going to a picnic at Ted Olson's house were I was able to meet Secretary Chertoff and Justice Alito. As a matter of fact, Alito cut in front of me at the open bar.

So there is a list of things I have done this summer. Its not exclusive.

The Future

I don't know the future of this blog. If you wish for it to continue please let me know (I doubt anyone reads this).
